We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Intern to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
As a business development Intern, you'll be concerned with improving and growing a business, by fostering and developing relationships with customers, suppliers and other partners. You may work to improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets or to enhance the operation of the business, position or reputation in some way.
You may have a single role in the organisation or may lead to do multiple jobs. Your work will often reach across all areas of the business.
You may work across many different businesses, but not limited with a specific focus on either:

As a business development Intern, your responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to::
Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
Generate leads and cold call, write emails to the prospective customers
Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone, overnight stays or overseas travel may also be required
Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
Draw up client contracts, company policies
Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
Arranging external training, site visits, coordinating with others where appropriate.
Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
Liaise with the finance team and logistics departments as appropriate
Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world
Help to plan sales campaigns
Create a sales pipeline
negotiate the pricing with customers, agents, and suppliers in some cases
carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
To manage and grow the Haperty’s database
Regularly upgrade and update the Haperty’s website to ensure optimal functionality and to showcase our product and services, to update events and properties, service developments and member-focused information into the Haperty’s global portal
Social Media management including development of monthly content plans and content – using the latest social media trends to achieve marketing goals
Responsible for front end promotional graphics; from concept to delivery
Make recommendations on design, developments or improvements for the site
Liaising with the in-house graphic designers, marketing team and other departments to ensure consistency and accurate representation of Haperty’s core brand values
Creative involvement across the onsite daily updates, email campaigns and social media content with the eCommerce Marketing Team
Creation of flash banners, affiliate and promotional advertising, animated GIF’s, PPC landing pages and campaign microsites with the help of our in-house graphic designers
Maintain and develop relationships with third-party providers, e.g. digital agencies, affiliate partners, etc.
Prepare and maintain weekly timesheet and send for approval to the line manager.
Your starting salary as a graduate business development Intern will be in the region of INR 1.2L to INR 3L per annum
At the mid-management level with several years' experience, will be in the region of INR 3L to INR 4.5L per annum
Salary will be paid monthly basis after
Bonus to be paid matching your monthly salary after completing the first full year with the company. Other future benefits may include a pension, healthcare scheme membership and Petrol/Diesel allowance for bike and car, Company mobile phone, company laptop and paid holidays
You'll usually work a regular 11 am to 8 pm (IST), Monday to Friday and 11 am to 4 pm on a Saturday weekly, though you may on occasion have to work longer to meet a project deadline or when attending an event or conference.
Flexible working may be possible
Dinner and Tea Break Times - You’ll usually have a one-hour lunch break and two tea breaks not exceeding more than 15-20 minutes each
You'll be expected to dress smartly, especially for meetings, though slightly more relaxed business casual attire may be acceptable at other times
A degree, postgraduate degree is not essential for the role would be an advantage
Degrees in business development or business management are the most relevant and preferred for this role, Also, studying a related course can also be helpful
Experience in creative or persuasive writing an advantage
You are Fluent in oral and written English is an advantage
You'll need to have:

An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally

The ability to speak a foreign language may be an asset if you're dealing with overseas clients.
Experience with web development projects is an advantage
Experience with industry standard design packages such as Photoshop, Fireworks, and Flash is an advantage
Usability – understanding of how customers interact with websites and how to improve and innovate on the same
Ability to analyse competitors campaigns/visuals and make recommendations /improvements on existing design solutions to ensure we have a strong visual and brand presence within the industry
Ability to multi-task and ensure flawless execution and delivery
A full and clean driving license is a requirement for this role but not mandatory.
This position is on a contract basis, extended every three months following a review/feedback and after completing one year with us, in some cases leads to permanent employment.
